Riccardo Sinigaglia - Watertube Ringspiel (tape, ADN Tapes 14, 1985)
Sinigaglia (born 1953) studied art and architecture and then electronic music and created this work in ec 1984. His website is here. Ambient music it says on the cover, and that's indeed what it is.

Projekt 3 - Licht Und Schatten (tape, Obscure Soundz 006, 1984)
Just as I completed my upload I found out I didn't do the scan of this tape, so I took the one on discogs. When I borrowed this box from Dr. Freakowitz, this had to be returned quickly, so I must have forgotten it. Click on the image here so you can see more. Nice minimal synth/darkwave music.

K&I - Promise Promise (tape, Studio 12 c4, 198?)
K&I stand for Karin and Ivo, two members of Nexda, who do much more experimental music on this tape. Indexed but no titles. No rhythms, but electronics, voices and saxophone. Quite nice I thought. Like with most Studio 12 releases not much information.

Plane Of Section (tape, Kinky Kassettes pos 1, 1983)
A band here, with John (synthesizers), Patrick (vocals), Jo (bass), Willem (drums) and Rob (saxophone on one track). 'Modern popmusic' I would call this. Good playing of new wave like songs, but maybe also a bit on the safe side. I never of heard of this band or this release until Dr. Freakowitz borrowed me this.

Tasaday - Riflessi Sensibili (tape, ADN Tapes 07, 1984)
From discogs: "The experimental/noise/tribal/postrock/industrial music band, located in Brianza, Italy. Active since 1982 and formed from two bands named Die Form & Orgasmo Negato, (changed in Die Form & Nulla Iperreale in 1983) the band chose the definitive name Tasaday in 1984. In the 80s they had many live performances, published fanzines, 3 LP, a unknown number of cassettes and many radio transmissions. In the 90s they had some peformances, one CD and other stuff."

Dojoji (tape, Simple Tapes SP 004, 1983)
Quite some time ago I posted a 12" by Dojoji. Here is the tape that I think was released before that. The line up here is Pien Selleger (bass), Ferdinand Rolle (drums), Hans Rath (saxophone), Ted Langenbach (bass, percussion), Byou Boolec on voice and Ron Louers on percussion. The quality of the music on the a-side is not great, but the funky energy makes up a lot.

Transcendent 2000 - Leven Na De Bollen (tape, Kubus Kommunikaties kk 003, 1980)
After so much sonic overload we need some peace and quietness. Two pieces of music here, recorded by Rob Smit, labelboss of Kubus and behind De Kroonluchters, a band from Leiden. Some of the releases on Kubus are off shoot or by-products of De Kroonluchters, but all were pretty interesting by themselves. This one was recorded with a Transcendent 2000 synthesizer and is very ambient. This post really completes, I think (!), all Kubus Kommunikaties that were released, and which I posted all.

Z'EV is playing in The Netherlands this week, together in duet with KK Null. Tomorrow in Extrapool in Nijmegen and on thursday in Occii in Amsterdam.

Evergreens Vol. 3 (tape, Central Tapes, 198?)
I believe right after I made a digital transfer of this, I saw it somewhere else on a blog. But this is definetly my own rip of a great tape, that i used to have, but now borrowed from Dr. Freakowitz. A compilation with M. Burghgraeve, Ob Minimax, Gerechtigkeits Liga, Napalm, Somnabulist, The Klinik (with two great tracks in my opinion), Nurse With Wound and Bourbonese Qualk. Some of these bands have more than one track.

Etienne Brunet trio - Boubou's Smoking (tape, Tago Mago 4757, 1985)
Of this trio I guess the best known these days is not the name giver Etienne Brunet, who plays saxo alto & soprano, but Pierre Bastien, here on bass and guitar. These days he well-known as a builder of sound installations and released records on Rephlex, I think. The third man is Jean-Pierre Bedoyan on drums and guitar. Not really jazz-like, but perhaps a bit.

In Slaughter Natives (tape, Cold Meat Industry, 1989)
Dr. Freakowitz gave me this, and its not the sort of thing I like, but then this blog is not what I like. Also I think this is not really forgotten, as this tape was, perhaps in a somewhat different form re-issued on CD by Staalplaat and later on Cold Meat Industry. Its one guy who created this bombast, Jouni Havukainen, and discogs says: "In Slaughter Natives is the piooner band in the symphonic industrial field. Their music is a mix of heavy electronics, martial percussions, religious chants, orchestral samples and gruesome demonic vocals. After releasing some great albums on Cold Meat Industry and Staalplaat, the project remains dormant since many years but keeps getting on stage from time to time."

Attrition - Onslaught (tape, Third Mind Records tmt 06, 1983)
From Discogs: ""Forever there will be the speculation that the exploration of darkness as a beautiful place will lessen our fear of it all, ease the pain a little..."
Attrition, from Coventry, England, began in the early 1980s with founder Martin Bowes. This group has garnered a loyal following because of their ability to merge the electronic, darkwave and classical forms into something their own.
Attrition's sound is strongly based on contrasts. There are gothic tracks that incorporate violas, ethereal tracks that contain Martin's gritty vocals, and danceable electro pieces that use orchestral arrangements. Recent tracks have even brought in a member of the Paris opera, Franck Dematteis, giving the music yet another unusual twist." This is one of their earliest releases and is melancholic and electronic, a forecast of their later work, I guess. Dr. Freakowitz handed this in, but I realized I had a copy myself.

Fondation - Le vaisseau Blanc (tape, Tago Mago Camouflage 002, 1983)
Fondation was a two piece band: Annanka Raghel on keyboards, voice and reciting and Ivan Coaquette on guitar, bass, synthesizer, percussion. Their release was packed in an oversized match box with matches. Each track ends with short spoken word piece which I believe is from H.P. Lovercarft. Pleasant music! Released by Tago Mago as part of the Camouflage series in an edition of 500 copies.

A few days I posted the compilation 'Life '85', which was released by Temporary Music Producion, the label from German synth duo. One of them, Albert Klein, had a solo project called 96 Eyes, with music along similar lines. Pleasant synth music. There seemed to be an extra track on it, which I called 'untitled'.

Carbolic Acid - Yorikke
Another tape from the Rotterdam Jazzbunker scene (see also; Ret Marut, Early Dull Schicksal, Debiele Eenheid & lots more). This one is free improv, sometimes Beefhaert-ish, always noisy and with some processed radio fragments added (later?) but with the occasional Henk van Schaick-singing (grunting actually). Just like with his other group , Ret Marut, there is a Ben Traven-reference here; Yorikke is the name of the Death Ship of B. Traven's book of the same name. From 1990.

Act Of God - Kringloop (tape, Kubus Kommunikaties KK 018, 1983)
And in contrast of what some of thought, this blog didn't end with that Seventh Dimension Quasette thing, but it was how it would have ended if it was only for my own material. I may have a handful of things to post, from now this blog dwells on submitted material, from Tabarnac, EU Records, Dr. Freakowitz or a nice box of 61 tapes I borrowed today from someone who is a phd -literally. Dr Freakowitz delivered a nice box of tapes on my doorstep a month ago, of I'm posting Act Of God today. A short tape, and not very Kubus like, by Hayo den Boeft and Martin Sandberg van Boelens. The latter we posted before, his tape on Decay Int, and Den Boeft is the man behind The Love Choir, Friends In Low Places and the Decay Int. label. Crazy, hectic, nervous music. 'Kringloop' means 'recycling'.
