Dreideimensional - Vier Manner Und Ein Pokerspiel (tape, 198?)

Another band of which I know nothing. I assume its this band. Quite nice Neue Deutsche Welle, along the lines of Pension Stammheim, maybe a bit more rocky. I didn't scan the booklet, because of risk of damaging it.

Allez Crachez (tape, Punk Etc, 1982)

A compilation of punkbands, of which I never heard: Vortex, Underdogs, Typhus, Sexy Bollocks, Anarchists On Dope, O-Veux and Nuits Saint Georges. Mulktiple tracks by each. Not the best recording quality. From Belgium.

WWL - Die Kalte Umschlage (tape, 198?)

It might very well be the other way around, that Die Kalte Umschlage is the band name and WWL the title. It not too clear. They are from the 80s, and from Germany and play some punk music, along those from their Dutch counterparts posted before on this blog. A bit experimental at times.

Tex And The Happy Mime Theatre - CQS (tape, Days Of Chesterfield, 1985)

'5 Pieces for amplified thumb pianos and voices' it says on the cover, which I guess is what is. Very strange music, a bit ambient indeed, but above all strange.

Another one of those very unknown bands, from Germany. A more experimental rock like sound. A short tape, with versions of the same song, plus an intro and an outro.

Mutagen Grau - Umnacht (tape, Kopf Ba??? Raum Produktion, 1985)

I can't read the label of this release as its printed on transparant plastic. Its from Cologne, Germany and that's again the extent of which I have info. Mutagen Grau plays improvised music, with guitars and drums.

Waiting For Bardot - Music For Cassette Decks Vol. 1 (tape, Dumbeat 1, 1980)

Highly obscure band from the UK, who had a track on Crass Records' Bullshit Detector Two'. This is not punk however, but electronic music from someone who loves his echo unit quite a lot. Charmingly naive.

Another obscure German band, very percussive and lots of jazz like wind instruments. Quite a great drive this. Again from the 80s I think.

I posted a cassette from this rather obscure label from Zeeuws-Vlaanderen (south-western part of the Netherlands). This compilation has bands I never heard of: The Digital Multimeters, Adult Attack, Z-92-X and TR. Quite experimental and ocassionally a bit punky.

Escupemetralla - Burros de Dios (tape, Clonaciones Petunio, 1990)

For the last mission I have borrowed tapes from seller on discogs EU records. I am not sure if all of the tapes I am posting are already for sale from him yet, but find EU records as a seller on discogs and ask him. I have a bunch already done, and apparently there is some more, which I will get soon. In some cases its was not easy to see if it was just a demo, but the musical tastes fit this blog perfectly. Every now and then there might be the odd post by Dr. Freakowitz, or Pascal Tabernac, or even myself, but once the EU well dries out, this blog dies. I don't know when that it is.

The first post is by Escupemetralla from Barcelona. We posted music from them before. Industrial and electronic.

Mail Music (tape, Psychic Rally, 1994)

A project organised by Joke Lanz (Sudden Infant) and Rudolv Eb.er (Schimpfluch), as part of a mail art exhibition, dealing with music send by mail. The cassette, a sort of broadcast on LoRa radio station in Zurich, documents the various pieces. It starts out with a collage of spoken word, the old Mail Music LP by Nicola Frangione and then, separate indexed here, the tracks by Factor X, Maggot Bile, TAC, Friedmann/Thur, Daniel Menche, Batchas, Aube, Macronympha, Telepherique, Clito Crime, Black Leather Jesus, K2, G*Park, Alvars Orkester, Costa Vece, Andy Viasmith, WTC, Zamlaka, Brume, Zapalka's Zespol, Dave Philips, Merzbow, Kapotte Muziek/IOS, Hess, Feine Trinkers and then a long outro, a collage of various bits. Look at the booklet, all scanned, and it makes more sense.

Tomorrow I move this blog into the final stage, after having scraped the barrel here and around the various collections of people that kindly donated stuff.

Asmus Tietchens - Raum 318 (tape, E'Ostrate E03, 1991)

There is a re-issue series by Die Stadt to re-release all the old LPs by Asmus Tietchens on CD, Vinyl on Demand did the 4 cassettes from the 1980s on 4 LPs, and his Korm Plastics cassette was released on CD ages ago. So, not a lot of Asmus Tietchens on this blog, which is a pity, as he's a great composer of electronic music. This tape is named after the number of his classroom in Hamburg where he teaches about sound. His website is here

David Roosenboom - Roundup (tape, Slowscan Editions Vol. 7, 1987)

A composer of crazy electronic music from a serious background. This is a collection of works from 1968 to 1984, released by Slowscan Editions, who these days release highly limited LPs from Fluxus related artists. So far the only tape I found from this label. It comes in a carton box which is here a bit damaged so I didn't scan that, but the entire booklet with liner notes on the pieces is enclosed.

Unanimous Anonymous Support - Entwurfe Zu Einem Ich (tape, Ache Records, 1989)

The cover says: "This cassette is a kind of compilation project by Ache. Most of the music on this tape is from Unanimous Anonymous. Several other groups have sent small music pieces, which were mixed among the music of UA. Furthermore, some sounds were added to the tapes by UA. The result is a 90 minute non-stop solo project. Many thanks to all of the bands for being involved". Some of the bands who gave support: Die Rache, Exterminator, Kopfschmerztablette, Der PIlz, Louis Pasteur, Jesus Christ, Kapotte Muziek, Vandal X, Throbbing Gristle, Andrezeij Dudek Durer, Het Hilaire Brisdak Ensemble, Paradox.

Two Modest Guys (tape, Banned productions, 19??)

An odd project in which a handful people remix releases by AMK and GX Jupitter-Larsen (also known as The Haters). Their talking is transferred by Massimo Toniutti, Kapotte Muziek, Big City Orchestra, AMK 1 and blackhumour and nothing whatsoever by AMK and GX - two very modest guys indeed. Included are scans of the booklet. Oh and AMK, the man behind banned Production is also mentioned in the first volume of Encyclopedia Of Industrial Music, dealing with artists from A to C. Due Process - RRRadio 41-55 (two tapes, RRRecords, 19??)

From Discogs: "Featuring Thomas Dimuzio, Ron Lessard (the man behind RRRecords) and John Wiggins, Due Process knows how to crank it out. While they can create a terrific din, the music actually leans a bit in the ambient direction, with lower dynamics and muffled timbres, albeit with a raucous pandemonium of noise just beneath the surface." These days the line up is Jason Lescalleet, John Wiggins, Ron Lessard and Thomas Dimuzio. This older tape, late 80s, early 90s I think was recorded at WJUL and WZBC and has tape contributions by Featuring Black Museum, Dave Prescott, Floating Concrete Octopus, Franz De Waard, HNAS, The Jamie Shalar Band, Korm Assemblage, PGR, Psychic Rally, Schimpfluch, Uvegraf and Violence + The Sacred.
