This is not copied from the original release, which I don't have, but it still sounds great. This compilation was made by Wim Mertens of Soft Verdict fame about a new music festival in Chicago in 1982. Featured are Jill Kroesen, Harold Budd, Jon Gibson, Meredith Monk, Charlemagne Palestine, Micheal Byron, David van Tieghem, Glenn Branca, Ned Subtlette and that great interview with John Cage, who talks about Branca in less flattering words. unindexed.

Muziekkamer - Popmuziek (tape, Muziekkamer 2, 1984?)

Muziekkamer were two Dutch men, Martin Keuning and Cees van de Oever, who released four great tapes, all to come here. Everytime something different, sometimes Eno styled soundscapes, sometimes more rhythmic like this one. 'Popmuziek' was what they thought about popmusic I guess. Otherwise I have no clue about them. They never played live as far as I know, and I have no idea what they do now.

A Blaze Colour - Demos & Live (unreleased recording)

Absolutely one of my favourite bands from Belgium. The demo I once got from a guy in Sweden and the live recording is from Dutch radio from a concert in Leiden in 1983. You could make a great CD of all their recorded output (which I post later) along with this lot.

Attrition - Onslaught (tape, Third Mind, 1983)

For me Attrition was once one of my more favorable bands, but after their second LP I lost my interest entirely. 'Onslaught' is one of the first tapes by them, from 1983, when they were still quite a good band. And it's on Third Mind, which was/is one of my more favorite cassette labels.

Sprung Aus Den Wolken (12", Zick Zack ZZ75, 1980)

My second post about this band, this is the first, untitled 12", recorded on a four track cassette, which can be heard. I was pretty sure I had the second one too, but somehow I can't find it anymore. Oh well. This is a nice one too.

Ensemble Pittoresque/Nine Circles - Live (unreleased recordings)

Another set of two live recordings taped of the Dutch radio in the 80s. Probably everybody is waiting for those Ensemble Pittoresque live recordings, but Nine Circles are certainly as nice. There is a great CD by them available
