Handmaiden Synergetics (tape, ??)

This tape, also given to me by someone who moved house, is perhaps more like a demo of sorts. It says Handmaiden Synergetics on the spine and four titles on the labels it self, so that's it. Otherwise I have no idea.

Recorded by one Micheal Todd Pierce and released in an edition of 6. Handmade cover. Not as loud as the one I will put on later this week, but quite noise based already.

Autodidact - The Saint Of Perpetual Motion (tape, Monotremata Records, 1997)

Another gift was this, the first of three tapes by Autodidact. One RKF plays guitars, efx, odd noises, drum machine abuse 'etc etc', which makes up some nice droning ambient music. More by him this week.

Bxg Cxty Orchxstrx - So Much Quicker Than Tomorrow (tape, Ecto Tapes, 19??)

Recently I got an e-mail from someone saying he was moving to another country, and wether I'd be interested in receiving a small box of tapes. Well, of course. Some of them seemed to be a demo of sort, but I transferred eigth of them, which I will post as of today until they run out. The reason to post this Big City Orchestra today is to state they are playing in Amsterdam tomorrow at Overtoom 301 as part of a benefit for DFM radio, with special guest The Silverman (The Legendary Pink Dots). I am not sure I indexed it all like its supposed to be, but I'll ask Das whenever I see him on his tour (they are also playing London, Tilburg, Hamburg, and probably a few other places).

Another - 81 (tape, 1981)

This tape was released by Charlye, the singer of Suspect, and I Suspect it was released in 1981, a year after he got kicked out of that band - check somewhere else on this blog for that story. If he -Charlye- has a better copy then this, please post it and we could change the link. This tape has no information on it whatsoever. Side 'a' says 'living room' and side b says 'live'. The living room recordings are quite ok. I gave the 'a' side songs titles but that's just guessing. The 'b' side is just one big file with the whole live gig. On my tape there's is one drop out spot which means that on both sides there's a song missing. But as it is a CHF 60, there's plenty enough to enjoy. I guess i bought this tape at Backstreet Records in Rotterdam in those days, maybe one of the few shops in the world that sold it. As far as i remember there's also a 7" from Another (posted before here - 433) and not much more...

Unzipp Me (tape, Interrupt Prod, 1989)

Behind Unzipp Me is Albert van der Veen, who ran the Peuleschille Tapes label out of the small village Dieren, near Arnhem (The Netherlands). This tape was however released by Interrupt, of which we previously posted three compilation tapes. Pretty noise based music, but nice enough. download

Project Ricorso (tape, Finger In The Dike, 1985)

Another quite obscure release by Finger In The Dike is this multi-media band, which included Dedo (H. Heyink on violin/video), R.J. Packe (Grand Piano, violin, editing), R. Schouten (drums, horns, violin), R. Sluik (horns, guitar, organ, cover, piano-drums, video). This tape has various live recordings made at Edelweiss in Amsterdam, Concordia (Enschede), Rozengracht studio (Amsterdam), Gaudeamus (Amsterdam) and Brighton (UK). The visual part of course lacks here, but the music is largely improvised but still sounds great.
