De Fabriek - Conseqences (tape, De Fabriek Records & Tapes fab 8, 1982)

In most articles and book I read about Conrad Schnitzler there is the mention of his 'Consequenz' LP and how he asked for people to sing on it, but it usually mentions that no-one ever did. Well, De Fabriek on this cassette, which is a pretty nice affair, I think, certainly for a band like De Fabriek who don't use many voices on their other releases. The usual early core of De Fabriek plays here: Richard van Dellen and Andries D. Eker. Nice early Fabriek and lots of Schnitzler.

This cassette album was one of my earliest introductions with Conrad Schnitzler's work and it was Conrad's first collaboration with De Fabriek. The voices of Richard & Andries are clearly recognizable. On the track 'Say it', they also added a Texas Instruments voice computer.

The track list is different from the original album by Conrad Schnitzler & Wolf Sequenza. I am not familiar with the original album, though. On Conrad's album sleeve indeed reads: "Use this record as playback for your own vocals - send us a cassette". That's what De Fabriek did & and this is how it sounds.

THANKS FOR THE UPLOAD!

Conrad Schnitzler passed away on 4 August 2011 and sent strands of his hair to be buried around the world.
