Roland Reagans Kriegsrevue (tape, 1982)

A downright political thing, a demonstration tape against the visit of Ronald Reagan in Germany. Exactly to this day 28 years ago. A short tape, five minutes only.

This post makes me nostalgic. Both for the music of the 80s and also for Ronald Reagan.

I was young in the eighties. What had Reagan done to anger the people? I know America pisses off alot of places, but enlighten me to this one, if you would of course :)

that's an odd question. maybe you should google his name and see what comes up. otherwise i have no time at all to give some history lesson.

Odd question? And yet, an even odder answer. If there is not time for questions, why is there time for implication? I was just wondering what your statement was underlined with. Googling his name told many things, but it didn't lead directly to the answer of why this tape was protesting his arrival in your neighbouring land. But, that 's cool. I didn't say you were a history teacher ;)

ask the poor people of the 80s, ask the people of grenada which the us invaded, remember that lovely joke 'we start bombing russia in 5 minutes', support of arms selling to iran while supporting right wing guerilla's in nicaragua. great wit from a b-acteur turning president. all easily found on the net (except for me typed from memory)

That's all I asked friend. You are talking to someone who was maybe seven years old then. I only asked for a little direction.Which you have kindly provided. Racism has been the only thing I heard about his term. Things are found much easier when you head in the right direction. Thanks.

Reagan is also sometimes credited with creating an economic boom and some think that his policies led to the end of the cold war.

super captialism also lead today's crisis, both economic and environmental. but thank god for the end of the cold war.

So you weren't around in the 80s??

History, science, these things I have been interested in too since I was young, so you are no better than me there friend. I will not give youth as being an excuse for ignorance in politics. I just really don't give a shit about it, because it is about 89% lies. And those who believe otherwise are severly deluded. Anyways, this is the last word of mine on this subject. I don't come here to have debates. No disrespect to what you are doing here.

why is that?

Reagan was a monster, and no revisionism will ever change that.

Didn't mean to sound rude. No-one is revising anything. I am not sticking up for Reagan's actions. As far as it all goes, unless one is on the inside, there is no common understanding of politics, as it operates at less than half of its' supposed face value. That is what I meant.
