A curious short tape from this band I never heard of. Two tracks are their own, and one is a cover of Polythene Pam from The Beatles. I think they are German. The music is quite nice, but hard to describe.

Hero Wouters - Laios/Een Zaak Van Leven Of Dood (tape, 1986)

The soundtrack to a 1983 movie by George Schouten which I never saw, but the comment on IMDB made me curious: "OK and strangely laid back Dutch thriller about a woman with fear of open spaces, who finds refuge in a masochistic relationship with an ex-colleague of her husband. The atmosphere is simultaneously intimate and chilly. The acting is pretty good, considering the level of Dutch cinema in the 80's. Faber, De Lint, Cox, and, to a lesser degree Hardy, do a good job here. The movie is rather dated and that's part of its charm. In fact, when I saw it I thought it was produced somewhere to the end of the seventies, considering the old-fashioned but stylish suits and haircuts. The entourage and bourgeois talk make it fun to watch. Time has certainly changed ("It's going very well with the company, we just bought a new computer")"

The music is great moody electronic music. Hero Wouters still makes music!

Un-kommunity - In The Shithouse (tape, Black Dwarf DW6, 1984)

Discogs says: Formed as a three piece in spring of 1983. They initially played spontaneous music, but later made power electronics and noise music. The only member who could play a little was Tim Gane, who went on to rock stardom.
The group were interested in musical alchemy, as they put it, and ran the Black Dwarf label." Gane later was the foundin member of Stereolab, just in case you wonder.

The Fool - Do The Fool (tape)

Two fools actually: Gerhard Rost on guitar and Gerd Karnoll on Bongos. This has nothing to do with the Fool who worked for The Beatles, I guess. Lots of acoustic guitars, vocals and throughout a hippie thing.
