Hans-Joachim Roedelius – Zu Fuss (cassette, 1978)
And this concludes the recent amount of postings. As said earlier I borrowed a bunch of cassettes that were/are available on Discogs and I saved the best until last. This cassette of unreleased Hand Joachim Roedelius was given by the composer to a collector in The Netherlands by way of saying thank you for something the collector did. He transferred it to CDR himself and decided to get rid off it as he no longer has a cassette player, hence the previous 90+ posts of the last months. It is currently for sale on Discogs, and I am not sure the price tag justifies it. But who knows?
So, until I can lay my hands on some other tapes in the near or far future, I say once more, goodbye and good night.
This can't be true?! Unreleased Roedelius from his "best" era (imo)...this leaves me speechless.
ReplyDeleteThank you so very much for what you've done before and after your resurrection. Many thanks for dozens of beautifully preserved tapes from the best of the best, and several new discoveries.
All the best to you and let's hope there will be another resurrection someday.
thanks so much for all the great uploads
ReplyDeleteYour return to posting music on this blog has been an absolute unexpected treat and a daily joy. I have looked forward to every posting and was hoping it would go on and on... Don't leave us hanging for another 3 years! The service you are doing for these artists and us listeners is valuable and important. The music is too good and too rare, with any luck some will be reissued. Thank you for taking the time to do this.
ReplyDeleteI've enjoyed the music you've posted during your latest incarnation. Many thanks for sharing it. Hopefully, you will be back again.

ReplyDeletekudos & deepest thanks. this was a major curation to undertake & expect your efforts have greatly enhanced the survivability of those of these recordings snatched from between the teeth of oblivion. you deserve all the superlatives already commented. thanks for being you. and throw us a tidbit once in a while. peace on.
ReplyDeleteThat was quite an incredible batch to say the least. I'm honored to have been active during these posts on the side. Definitely hope you return one day if new material finds you. I have the same, not sure for how long I can keep up, but not long. This might be the last year already.
ReplyDeleteDank! Dank! Dank!

Thank you so so so much for all of the amazing music you have shown me! I'm currently listening to an old Dif Juz tape you uploaded probably 5 or 6 years ago!
ReplyDeleteThank you for all that you have done!
Incredible run of tapes! Much appreciated!
ReplyDeleteHaving had a hiatus from the wonderful world of obscure-experimental-avantgarde-underground music blogs I thought I was hallucinating when I saw a link from 2017 to No Longer Forgotten Music blog - but it's true and it was worth the visit just to find this Roedelius Uber-rarity - thanks so much for sharing this with the world - otherwise it would remain completely off the radar and the exclusive preserve of the few collectors who can afford the kind of prices am artifact like this would command.
ReplyDeleteHappy new year!
Stunning! Thank you so much!
ReplyDeletelove,
