K. Leimer - Music For Land And Water (tape, Palace Of Lights, 1983)

Another fine early release by K. Leimer. "This music was produced specifically for performance and installation. Art and science is an extract from a one week long installation. The system comprised four non-synchronous closed loop stereo tape players, the type used in commercial music systems. These played loops of different durations with like and dissimilar information of each of eight tracks". Three long pieces.

Not for sale. Link removed. This will be re-issued summer 2010 by Autumn Records, and as always: get that CD.

This is an absolutely lovely album. I went to the Autumn Records website to buy a CD and it seems they have already sold out :( Now finding a copy will be an interesting task. I'd really love to replace my cassette rip with the CD.
