Rotterdam Collection (LP, Backstreet/Backlash, 1980), Rotterdam Spunk (Plastic Cheese, 1983)

Ok, with all the recent postings about cassettes, which I think is great and something you should be downloading, because it's great music, we should not forget Dutch Punk. These two LPs are not just about punk, well 'Rotterdam Collection' isn't, but about all sorts of great music. On Rotterdam Collection there is Rondos and Tandstickorshocks, as well other more rock oriented bands. 'Rotterdam Spunk' is not mentioned in 'Het Gejuich Was Massaal', but I am sure this all punk LP will appeal to some.

i wish!!! it was a flexi-single, i remember they played it on the radio and what i heard some of the rondos were really upset about it. i was playing drums in a band called pleeboy at the time and we were performing in simplon with the red hulk bv. and ziggy, their singer was burning these flexi-singles on stage... we were pleying there with a few utregt punk bands i remember... i went there again about one, maybe two years later, that time with kotx, skitzo and a few other bands and i witnessed war, a complete slaughterhouse, i remember seeing people getting stabbed and cut, beaten with chains even an axe, bloody mayhem it was....

this record by the way was produced by peter graute right? peter who owned the best recordshop in rotterdam ever, backstreet records... the guys from tuxedo moon came there often and i remember meeting the gang of four there...

good old times!!!

i sure hope somebody reads this post and contributes that flexi-disc man! i do remember some of the words of the song,

Here's red-man from Rotterdan, he'll tell you what to do. He wants a bloody revolution, 'cause that is really good for you. He knows the good man from the bad man tells the differebnce from a mile, but I just wonder mister red-man, what's that aim behind your smile....

good ol' times!!!

i do have the original lp from the rondos and i bought the box last year when i was in Holland, also still have (a heavily damaged) tandstickorshocks ep...
